Fellowed GPs
For FRACGP, FACRRM and other appropriately recognised specialist GPs exploring permanent, part-time, contractor or flexible opportunities across Australia.

For Doctors
Whether you’re already practising in Australia or considering a move from overseas, Doctor Alliance Australia helps you explore GP opportunities that align with your career, your lifestyle and the way you want to practise medicine.
From metropolitan practices to coastal communities and regional locations, we take the time to understand what matters to you before discussing the right opportunities.
Every stage
General practice careers don’t all follow the same path. We work with doctors at different stages of their careers and help them explore opportunities appropriate to their experience, registration, training and long-term goals.
For FRACGP, FACRRM and other appropriately recognised specialist GPs exploring permanent, part-time, contractor or flexible opportunities across Australia.
For doctors progressing toward Fellowship and considering their next practice, location or working environment. We will take your training stage, supervision requirements and individual circumstances into account when discussing suitable opportunities.
For doctors looking for greater flexibility, additional hours or a different working arrangement alongside their existing commitments.
For GPs considering practising in Australia and wanting to understand how registration, Medicare requirements, DPA status and practice location may affect the opportunities available to them.
Australian GP recruitment
For some doctors, registration, training stage, Medicare eligibility or practice location can affect which opportunities are suitable. We consider these factors before approaching practices, so the opportunities we discuss with you make sense for your individual circumstances.
Explore opportunities based on location, remuneration, flexibility, practice culture and your longer term career goals.
Registration pathways, DPA requirements and Medicare restrictions may affect where you can work in Australia.
Your pathway
Whether you are already Fellowed, working toward Fellowship or coming to Australia with an overseas specialist qualification, we will first understand your registration and training position before discussing practices.
Where supervision, accreditation or location requirements apply, we will take those into account when identifying suitable opportunities.
A confidential conversation
You don’t have to be actively job hunting to talk to us.
Maybe you’re happy where you are but curious about what else is available. You might want fewer days, different billing arrangements, a stronger patient base, a better team culture, more flexibility or a practice closer to home.
Perhaps you’re ready to move from metropolitan practice to the coast or a regional community, or you’re simply wondering whether there is a practice out there that suits you better.
Our conversations are confidential and there is no expectation that you need to make a move. Sometimes the first step is simply understanding your options.

Employee, contractor or other arrangements depending on the practice and opportunity.
Percentage of billings, hourly rates, guarantees and other remuneration arrangements.
Team structure, management style, nursing support and how the practice operates.
Established patient base, appointment demand and the type of community you will be caring for.
Nursing, administration, allied health and other services available within the practice.
Because where and how you work needs to fit the rest of your life too.

International doctors
Moving your medical career to Australia is exciting, but the pathway isn’t identical for every doctor. Your medical degree, specialist GP qualification, country of training, experience and registration history can all affect which pathway applies to you.
Doctor Alliance works with overseas GPs to explore the employment side of the move, including suitable practices, locations, remuneration, working arrangements and lifestyle.
Formal registration eligibility is determined by Ahpra, the Medical Board of Australia and the relevant specialist college where applicable.
How it works
We will discuss your current role, registration and training stage, preferred location, working arrangements, career plans and what you want from your next practice.
Rather than sending you every vacancy available, we identify practices and opportunities that genuinely align with what you have told us. Where relevant, we also consider registration, training, Medicare and location requirements.
When there is an opportunity worth exploring, we will provide the information you need and coordinate the introduction with the practice.
From interviews and questions through to offers and transitioning into the new role, you will have someone to contact throughout the recruitment process.
